Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide baseball instruction throughout the year for the youth of Kingman. A year-round program will present our children with more practice, field time, innings played, experience and ultimately better-tuned abilities. The main goals of the traveling team are to practice as often as possible, learn the correct way to play the game, enter as many games and tournaments as our funds will allow, and have fun at a sport we all love.

Guidelines

This is not Little League. Rules of play are different. The way the game is played is different. We want any and all kids that wish to play baseball to join us. We will be taking a maximum of 12 players to each tournament. It would not be fair or cost effective to take more as some players may sit most of a tournament. The remaining players are encouraged to continue practicing with the team as the rosters can change from tournament to tournament. We will make every effort to get everyone involved by playing intersquad games and scrimmages with teams in other areas.

Expectations

We expect the highest level of professionalism at all levels of this organization. Players will be expected to be at all practices, be on time, and ready to play. Attitude is everything, be prepared to work hard. Good Sportsmanship is of the utmost importance, horseplay and bad attitudes will not be tolerated. Families will be expected to get kids to practice. If something comes up call a coach or another player for help. Do not argue with umpires, this will only hinder the team and make for an uncomfortable atmosphere. If you have questions for the coach ask after practices or games. Though volunteers, Coaches will be required to run their teams in an orderly fashion, schedule practices, and maintain communications with the players and families. Reliability is a must. The coach is the backbone of a team and his actions reflect upon the entire organization.

Finances

MONEY IS EVERYTHING. Without it we will not exist. Players will be asked to donate $20 a month for the team. This will help pay for the costs of fields, gym time, equipment, insurance and even uniforms. These dues are not mandatory, but they are expected. Hardships do arise and we want everyone to have the ability to play. If you are not able to pay, talk to a coach or board member. There will be additional funds needed come tournament time. The costs will vary but include, traveling out of town, hotels, tournament fees and food. We are working on getting donations from various organizations and businesses to help pay these extra expenses. Any additional help would be appreciated.
